Refund & Cancellation Policy
Prorated refunds, cancel anytime, transparent billing.

1. Overview
Utified offers prorated refunds for both monthly and annual subscriptions, calculated on a per-day basis from the cancellation request date through the end of the current billing period. We believe you should only pay for time you actually use the service.
2. Monthly Plans
Monthly subscribers (Starter, Pro, Max) can cancel at any time and receive a prorated refund for the unused days in the current billing month. Refunds are calculated as:
refund = monthly price × (days remaining in period ÷ days in billing month)
For example, cancelling a $9.99/mo Pro plan 10 days into a 30-day billing month refunds approximately $6.66. Once cancelled, your plan immediately downgrades to Free; remaining credits are forfeited.
3. Annual Plans
Annual subscribers can cancel at any time and receive a prorated refund for the unused days in the current annual term. Refunds are calculated as:
refund = annual price × (days remaining in year ÷ 365)
The 20% annual discount applied at purchase remains baked into the refund — we do not retroactively recalculate the rate. Once cancelled, your plan immediately downgrades to Free; remaining credits are forfeited.
4. Free Plan
The Free plan has no associated charges and therefore no refund applies. You can stop using the service at any time without any cancellation step.
5. How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Sign in to your Utified account
- Go to Account → Billing
- Click "Cancel subscription" — your prorated refund is calculated and processed automatically
Refunds are issued back to the original payment method (Stripe or PayPal) and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Failed Payments & Grace Period
If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a 7-day grace period during which the plan stays fully active. Stripe automatically retries the charge during this window. If payment is still not collected after 7 days, your account is automatically downgraded to Free; remaining credits are forfeited. You can update your payment method or upgrade again at any time.
7. One-Time Charges & Credit Top-Ups
Credit top-up purchases (one-time, non-subscription charges) are non-refundable once credits have been consumed. Unused credits from a top-up purchase may be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase, provided none have been spent. Contact [email protected] for one-time charge refund requests.
8. Refund Exceptions
We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of:
- Violation of our Terms of Service
- Abuse of the refund policy (e.g., repeated cancel-refund-resubscribe patterns)
- Fraudulent payment activity or chargeback disputes already in progress
- Accounts terminated for cause
9. Changes to This Policy
Utified may revise this refund and cancellation policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
