The Plagiarism Checker breaks your text into distinctive multi-word phrases and lets you search Google for exact-match instances of each phrase elsewhere on the web.

How it works

1. Your text is split into sentences locally in your browser
2. Each sentence becomes a Google search query wrapped in quotes for exact-match
3. Click any link to open that search in a new tab
4. "Check all" opens the first 10 simultaneously (popup-blocker may stop this)

Limitations

This approach finds web-published matches. Academic plagiarism checkers (Turnitin, iThenticate) have access to private databases of student papers and journal articles, so use those for academic submission requirements.
