eBay Fee Calculator — Final Value Fee, Promoted Listings & Net Profit
eBay's main fee is the Final Value Fee (FVF), a percentage of the total sale amount including buyer-paid shipping. Since eBay moved to managed payments, there is no separate PayPal fee — processing is included. FVF rates range from 3.5% for vehicles to 15% for clothing, shoes, and jewelry. Electronics have an 8.65% rate capped at $750 per item. Promoted Listings Standard adds a variable rate (you set it, 2–20%) only when the item sells via the promoted placement. eBay provides 250 free insertion listings per month; beyond that, $0.35 per listing. Store subscribers get higher free listing allowances and slightly reduced rates.
