Study Timer — The Pomodoro Technique
The Pomodoro Technique was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It breaks work into focused intervals (typically 25 minutes) called "pomodoros," separated by short 5-minute breaks. After 4 pomodoros, you take a longer 15–30 minute break. This method combats procrastination, reduces mental fatigue, and improves focus. Research shows that working in timed bursts with breaks improves sustained attention. Customize your intervals: some people prefer 50/10 for deep work, or 15/5 for lighter tasks. The audio beep uses the Web Audio API — no external files needed.
