Claude Code Session Viewer

The Claude Code Session Viewer turns Claude Code's raw .jsonl transcripts into a clean, chat-style timeline. Drop in any file from your local ~/.claude/projects/ directory and instantly inspect every prompt, response, tool call and tool result.

Where to find session files

• Windows: C:\Users\<you>\.claude\projects\<project-slug>\<session-id>.jsonl
• macOS / Linux: ~/.claude/projects/<project-slug>/<session-id>.jsonl

What you can do

• See a chat-style timeline of user prompts and assistant replies.
• Expand individual tool calls to see their arguments, and tool results to see what came back.
• Filter by message type, search across the entire transcript, and toggle low-noise events like queue operations and snapshots.
• Inspect session metadata: session ID, git branch, working directory, model, token usage and duration.
• Export the conversation as a clean Markdown file for sharing or archiving.

Private by design. The file is parsed entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
