Ping Test Tool
Test network latency by pinging a hostname or IP address from our server.
Ping Test Tool
A ping test sends ICMP echo requests to a host and measures the round-trip time (RTT). It is one of the most fundamental network diagnostic tools available, helping you identify latency and packet loss between your client and a remote server.
Understanding Ping Results
- Min: The fastest response time recorded across all pings.
- Avg: The average response time — the most relevant metric for perceived latency.
- Max: The slowest response. A large gap between min and max suggests network jitter.
- Packet Loss: Any value above 0% indicates network instability or a firewall blocking ICMP.
Response Time Color Guide
- Green (< 100 ms): Excellent — ideal for gaming, VoIP, and real-time applications.
- Yellow (100–300 ms): Acceptable for general browsing but noticeable in real-time applications.
- Red (> 300 ms): High latency — may cause issues with interactive applications.
