Twitter/X enforces a 280-character limit per tweet. URLs are automatically shortened to t.co links and always count as exactly 23 characters, regardless of original length. This counter applies that same URL weighting. The thread splitter breaks long text into sequential tweets, each staying under 280 characters with room for numbering (1/N).
