Twitter Video Downloader — How to Save Tweets
Twitter/X hosts videos in MP4 format served from CDN URLs. The browser DevTools method is the most reliable way to find these URLs — the Network tab shows all media requests when you play a video, and the direct .mp4 URL can be opened and saved. Twitter's mobile apps don't provide a native download button for most videos, but screen recording is a fallback. GIF animations on Twitter are stored as MP4 files (not actual GIFs) for efficiency, so the DevTools method also works for them. Public tweets and their videos are viewable without a Twitter account at twitter.com, but you need an account to access some features. This tool displays official tweet oEmbed data from Twitter's API.
