Amazon Seller Fee Calculator — All Fees Explained
Amazon charges sellers several types of fees: the referral fee (8–20% depending on category, e.g. 8% for electronics/beauty/grocery, 17% for clothing, 20% for jewelry), the FBA fulfillment fee (starting at $3.22 for small standard items under 0.25 lbs), a closing fee of $1.80 for media categories (books, music, video games), FBA storage fees ($0.87/ft³ Jan-Sep, $2.40/ft³ Oct-Dec), and a subscription fee ($39.99/month for Professional plan vs $0.99/item for Individual). Return processing fees are either $5 or 20% of the referral fee (whichever is greater). ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sale) measures ad efficiency; break-even ACoS equals your profit margin.
