SWIFT / BIC Code Lookup — Decode Bank Identifier Codes
A SWIFT BIC (Bank Identifier Code) is an 8 or 11-character code used to identify banks in international transactions. Structure: 4-letter bank code + 2-letter ISO country code + 2-character location code + optional 3-character branch code (XXX means head office). This tool validates the format and decodes each component, identifying 70+ countries and flagging test BICs. Note: BIC lookup does not fetch live bank names (a paid SWIFT directory is required for that).
